VersaLogic releases 2.5 Gigabit TSN Ethernet expansion module

(Tualatin, OR – May 5, 2023) VersaLogic Corporation has expanded its line of industrial temperature, rugged Ethernet expansion products with the new “E7” module. The new 2.5 Gigabit TSN Ethernet expansion module is rated for full -40° to +85°C operation. It provides an effective and reliable way to add two high-speed 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet channels to an embedded computer system.

Dual independent Gigabit ports

The E7 provides two independent IEEE 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and is backward compatible with slower standards (10BASE-TE/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T).

TSN-Capable

The E7 supports time-sensitive networking (TSN), when paired with TSN-capable processors.

Mini PCIe format

The E7 is a compact form factor ideal for size and weight-optimized applications.

On-board Magnetic Isolation
Unlike other Ethernet expansion offerings, the E7 is self-contained with onboard magnetic isolation, eliminating the need for off-board magnetic paddleboards.

Industrial Tough

The E7 is built for mission-critical applications where full functionality in extreme environments required. Fully tested thermal management assures reliable operation over the full industrial temperature range (-40° to +85°C). Latching connectors, soldered-down transceivers, and MIL-STD-202H shock and vibration testing ensure performance in the most demanding conditions.

Customizable in Low OEM Quantities

The E7 is customizable, even in low OEM quantities. Customization options include conformal coating, revision locks, custom labeling, customized testing, and customized screening.

Software Support

The E7 is compatible with a variety of popular operating systems, such as Linux and Windows.
